Bio

Pr. F. MICHAU is Professor at the Grenoble Institute of Technology, France. She studied Mathematics at the Ecole Normale Supérieure de Jeunes Filles de Paris. She passed the high-level competitive examination for the recruitment of teachers, majoring in Mathematics in 1980 and obtained a PhD in Mathematics in 1982. After complementary studies in computer science at the University of Grenoble in 1985, she joined the Grenoble Institute of Technology. Her special field of interest is Information and Communication Technology in Education.

Florence Michau’s research work started with application of ICTE in Control Engineering. She obtained Research Director’s status in 1998 and the post of Professor in 2002. She has been involved in several national and European ICTE projects (the ARIADNE European project, Alliance of Remote Instructional Authoring and Distribution Networks for Europe, the GRECO Grenoble Open Campus, a joint project of the four Grenoble universities and more recently the FILIPE national project in the context of UNIT, the French virtual university in engineering science).

Florence Michau is in charge of the Grenoble Institute of Technology ICTE and e.learning program. She is the head of PerForm the teacher support unit contributing to the quality of teaching.
She is also the head of the Department of Transversal Training. This department groups together four teams: Sports, Languages, Entreprise and Innovation and PerForm : a multidisciplinary team of teachers (47) including administrative staff (6) and technical staff (2).

She is also a researcher on the Metah team at the LIG laboratory. Her current Interest is “Learning Game”.
