Carina Teixeira de Oliveira was born in Fortaleza, Brazil. She received a graduate degree in teleinformatics from the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology (IFCE), in 2005, and the M.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (COPPE/UFRJ), in 2008. Currently, she is a Ph.D. student in the Grenoble Informatics Laboratory (LIG) at the Joseph Fourier University (UJF). Her advisor is Prof. Andrzej Duda and co-advisor Fabrice Theoleyre. Her research interests include the design and performance evaluation of computer communication systems and networks.
